The word “photography” was first used in the 1830s and the first photographs were taken in 1826 by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce, using a process called heliography. Niépce’s process was inefficient and required eight hours of exposure to light, so it wasn’t practical for most purposes.
We hope this Steampunk photographer can catch some wonderful moments on camera.
